Founded in 1913 as a farming school with classes designed for many of the farmers and farmhands that lived nearby, it became a full college within two decades. SUNY established the campus as a way to offer opportunities for students not served by its other campuses. The Delhi campus grew during the 1960s and added dormitories for students and facilities for students to major in construction, management, and other fields. SUNY Delhi announced that it had plans for future development through 2028 that will include the construction of a new gym and dormitories. The university’s culinary arts program is one of its best and saw students win multiple national championships in 2000 through 2012.

SUNY Delhi Application Requirements

Future SUNY Delhi undergrads can use either the SUNY application or the Common Application. Both charge a $50 application fee unless the student qualifies for a fee waiver. To get a waiver, the student will need to contact the university and show proof that paying the fee will cause financial hardship. They will also need to submit their official high school and/or college transcripts and a standardized test score. SUNY Delhi bases its decision on factors that include test scores, prerequisites taken, space in a program and high school curriculum. The admissions team reviews applications beginning on October first but does not have a set application deadline.

Both of the university’s graduate nursing programs charge a $75 application fee that students can submit through the Quick Pay System, which accepts credit card and debit card payments. They need to submit their college transcripts and a copy of a valid RN license. As both programs are available online, the university will accept students with a nursing license from any state. It also asks for an essay of between 750 and 1,000 words that explains how the program will help the student grow as a nurse and meet the demands of the field. Students can upload their licenses and essays on the online application. They need a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a program with professional accreditation.
